Managing Fundamentals

The right business vision with the wrong management focus is pointless. Managing people and their work is not as simple as it seems 'without proper management training'. Would any patient consult a medical has not been trained professionally.
For a start, how many bosses excel in Time Management, Motivation, Interpersonal and Team Building Skills? What therefore, are the fundamentals of Management in this respect? Give yourself full marks if you are expert in each of the following:

  3. Maintaining a conducive management style.
  4. Efficient planning and administration of work procedures.
  5. Managing productive meetings.
  6. Profesional staff training.
  7. Quality work performance.
  8. Inculcating creativity and innovation.
  9. Articulating a corporate vision.
  10. Stress management through emotional intelligence.
  11. Managing the change process effectively.
  12. Formulating a 360-degree appraisal system i.e evaluations from peers, subordinates, superiors and customers, respectively.
  13. Analysing the demographic characteristics of your management team.
  14. Knowing your key sources of sustainable competitive advantage.
Nothing adds more value to an organisation than quality managerial staff, with substantial expertise and profesional ethics. It is good if every boss receives enhances and enlightens the person considerably.
Management is not about power and politics. it is about style, skills, strategies and result. Any corporate scriptwriter would tell you that and coaching is not a one time project, it is an on going process. Adiosss....
