UP THE HIERARCHY

In lower management
You work hard and pray hard
In middle management
You work smart and pray harder
In top management
You play smart, move faster
and watch who is behind you!
Management Styles
It is always good to have a management style that is motivating and ethical. However, the worst management style would be one of temper, intimidation and revenge. Let your staff feel the pull of your personality rather than the push of your willpower.
He who manages with his feet should be wary of landmines! If you have never had any respect for human beings and human dignity, chances are, you may never be a good boss and your management style will always be questionable. Management is not about structure and content only. This is a critical area of personnel management and care is needed constantly is this respect.
Boardrooms and bedrooms have one thing in common; they both have to function effectively.
Style is everything. You need presence, charisma and impact. If you can take the heat from time to time, make sensitive decisions under difficult circumtances, accept risks, handle crises well, and yet remain cool and inspiring, you have what it takes to be a good boss.
A Healthy respect for individuals will give you that competitive edge over others.

  • That you own everybody at work.
  • Only you have the brains.
  • Your advice is always right.
  • That you can do as you please.
  • You don't need anyone's help.
  • Ethnics can be thrown to the winds.
